Cross One Item Off Your Holiday To-Do List Right Now

It always seems to happen this way, doesn’t it? One moment we’re slogging our way through another hot and humid summer. Then seemingly the very next moment, we’re suddenly staring the holiday season right in the face.

That’s where we’re at right now: on the very verge of holiday season 2014. Thanksgiving is no more than a few short weeks away, and then comes the frenzy and fun of the Christmas season.

If you’re like most people, you’re looking forward to the holiday season. Because for most, it truly is the happiest time of the year. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t certain chores associated with the holiday season that you find rather distasteful.

I’ll bet one of those unpleasant chores that you’re kind of already dreading is putting up Christmas lights on your home.

That’s a Chore That Can Be Far Worse Than Just Unpleasant…

Everybody loves Christmas lights. There’s really nothing better than a neighborhood where every homeowner goes all-in with the Christmas decorations.

It gives everyone in the neighborhood a real holiday season lift.

But putting up all of those Christmas lights is a chore. And it comes at a time of the year when there are plenty of more enjoyable things you could be doing with your spare time.

And it’s flat-out dangerous.

That’s according to a study that the United States CDC recently performed. They found that during a recent 3-year period, more than 17,000 people received emergency medical treatment as a result of accidents that occurred during the installation of holiday decorations.

Most of those accidents involved falls off of ladders. More than half of the accidents required long-term hospitalization. And some resulted in death. (Anything sadder than someone dying from installing Christmas lights?)

That’s why more and more homeowners these days are opting out. They’re still decorating their homes, but they’re letting someone else handle the dangerous and dull work of doing the actual installation work – professionals that are trained and equipped to do the job safely.

Why Not Move That Unpleasant and Dangerous Chore From Your Plate to Ours?

Did you know that one of the services we offer at TLC Inc. is Christmas light installation? We’ve been offering that service for several years now. And for the reasons noted above, it’s a popular service.

That’s why I wanted to let you know that it’s not too early to get on our Christmas list – our light installation list.

(Yes, we’ll be checking our list twice, just to make sure we don’t miss anybody. But we’ll show up to install your lights whether you’ve been naughty or nice!)

As much fun as it is, the holiday season can also be a time of frenzied activity. Sometimes it seems that there’s more on your holiday to-do list than there is time to do it.

You can make the list a bit lighter by crossing one of those items off right now. And I’ll bet that that to-do item is one youreally don’t want to do, anyway.

But we want to do it!
